Installation
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Unreal Engine 5.8 or 5.6 on Windows.
- Visual Studio 2022 with the “Game development with C++” workload. The plugin ships as source, so the engine compiles it for your project. Blueprint-only projects work too, as long as Visual Studio is installed.
- On Windows N or KN editions, install the Media Feature Pack. Video encoding uses Windows Media Foundation.
- The rendering path is qualified on D3D12.
Install from Fab
Section titled “Install from Fab”- Open the Epic Games Launcher and go to Fab Library.
- Find Presentation Capture and click Install to Engine. Pick your engine version.
- Start the editor and open your project.
Enable the plugin
Section titled “Enable the plugin”- Open Edit > Plugins.
- Search for Presentation Capture (it is in the Editor category) and tick Enabled.
- Restart the editor when asked. If prompted to rebuild modules, click Yes.
The plugin has one editor module, PresentationCapture. It does not add content to your project and is not included in packaged games.
