FAQ

Does it work in packaged builds? No. It is an editor-only plugin for PIE sessions.

Which engine versions are supported? 5.8 and 5.6, on Windows.

Do I need C++? No, but you need Visual Studio 2022 installed because the plugin ships as source.

Can I record a listen server and clients at the same time? Yes. Each seat gets its own MP4, up to four seats.

Is there a length limit? No fixed limit. Video is split into segments, 5 minutes each by default. You can set a safety cap with PresentationCapture.Record.MaxSeconds.

Where are recordings saved? Saved/PresentationCapture in your project unless you set an output directory.

Does it work with Animation Analysis? Yes, they are sold separately and can run in the same session. See Animation Analysis.
